It is almost impossible for anyone will a voice to post or share a piece of writing online without having someone, somewhere, criticize those idea or thoughts as they pertain to the person. In the modern sense we call people who purposely attack and harass others online "trolls". They help remind us the boundaries that lay between civilized and uncivilized manor and opinion. In a way trolls remind of the ugly side to humanity. The sour thoughts that lay embedded deep in the subconscious of the suppressed emotional barrier we keep lined with our sensibility.
Depending on the writer, trolling will only effect the composition of those who understand the idea of their target audience, the medium in which they are producing writing, and the subject/content being produced or discussed. Those who have ambition in their words and believe with confidence in what they say will not allow harassment or trolling to affect any aspect of writing. And this is important, to write is it express yourself grammatically no matter what genre or context. Trolls have always been around, but not with so many platforms and comment sections they congregate in masses. Hiding behind screen, mostly envious of those who have the ability to freely express themselves.
Sadly, this is not the truth for most writers. The problem with expressing yourself in any for via web based mediums is the fact that people tend to analyze every outcome their work could be criticized. Many hesitant to speak on truths that possibly could stir conflict.
Reminds me, i really hate comment sections. Have something to say? don't troll me, just write about it..
